Don's Soda Fountain is hopping gathering place for locals and visitors. Just a few steps from the Ferry Terminal it is a quick stop for travelers looking for a sit down breakfast or lunch, as well as a fun place to order hamburgers, sandwiches and fountain drinks to go.
Stopped in today for a soda on our way back to the ferry. We were turned away, as the waitress had 4 orders ahead of us, and running low on vanilla ice cream. Obviously, she was over whelmed. Needless to say, we won't go back.

DeleteRe: the comment above.... Welcome to a small town. This is part of its charm -- that is my neighbor working so hard that you are disparaging. The servers at Don's are personable and real. And guess what -- when the ferry is about to leave town, maybe there is a line.
